The treatment journey

At Signature Orthodontics, the whole team is passionate and dedicated to providing the best possible experience for all our patients. We continue to refine and improve the treatment journey to make it the best possible experience you can expect when embarking upon your smile transformation.

All staff members are trained in helping our patients at any point in time to understand which point of the journey they may be at and what is to be expected. We understand that this is an important life decision and you may be nervous, so we will try to make this process as relaxed and comfortable for you as possible.

Your first visit

During your consultation at our practice, we will get to know you and understand your smile goals. We will complete a detailed clinical assessment and discuss which types of treatment could be beneficial. We can answer any questions you have about treatment and discuss our flexible payment plans. We may also take a digital scan and photographs to help us describe the options best suited to you

Your second visit

If you decide to proceed with treatment, we will schedule a second appointment for diagnostic records and treatment planning. If you are happy with everything we can even start treatment the same day!

Your third visit

Your next visit with us will often be the fitting appointment. We will fit your aligners or attach the braces to your teeth. This appointment is usually 45 minutes. During this time, we will educate you on how best to care for your new appliance and provide a complimentary aftercare pack to look after your chosen option.

During treatment

While you are receiving orthodontic treatment, we will see you every 6-8 weeks to check on progress and make adjustments as needed. In between visits, you may contact us any time if problems arise. For certain options we may need to see you less frequently, especially if we use remote monitoring methods. These are particularly useful if you find it hard to attend the practice for any reason and during a pandemic.

After treatment

Once your treatment is complete we will provide you with customised retainers. These are vital to keep your newly straightened teeth in position. Make sure to follow Dr Preet’s instructions for proper retainer wear and care.
